Michele Rita (Kelley) Breiler

Michele Rita Breiler, age 76, passed away with her family by her side in Mishawka on Sunday, April 30, 2023.  Michele was born July 3, 1946, in South Bend to the late Michel and Alyce (Cool) Kelley.  On April 22, 1967, she married James Breiler in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka. They recently celebrated their 56th anniversary.

Jim survives, along with her children Chris Breiler of Mishawaka and Cindy Breiler of Osceola. Surviving as well is her granddaughter Kelsey Breiler and great grandson, Carter Smith.

There will be no visitation or services.  Wells and Cruz Family Funeral Home (formerly Goethals and Wells) has been entrusted with her care.

Michele was employed throughout the area with Dodge Manufacturing, the Associates, Robertsons Department Store, and finished her career as the supervisor of retail sales at K-Mart Department Store before retiring in the early 1980’s.   In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing and knitting, working crossword puzzles, and reading.  Michele also earned her Master Gardening Certificate through Purdue University and took great pride in her gardening skills raising tomato plants and all kinds of peppers.
