William "Bill" Montel

William “Bill” Montel, 58, of Winona Lake, passed away unexpectedly at his home. He was born on May 27, 1967 in South Bend to the late Robert L. Montel and surviving Sharon (Muldoon) Montel.

Sharon survives, along with his siblings, Robert (Jennifer) Montel of Cassopolis, MI, Joseph (Nancy) Montel of Westfield, IN, and Christoper Montel of Mishawaka, IN. Extended family of Cheyanne (Elliott) Lares, their daughter Wyatt; Morgan (Eric) Otolski, their son Sterling and daughter Clarke; Caven (Avya) Montel, and Graysen Montel; Thomas “Tommy” Montel. Bill also leave behind his Aunt Maureen Muldoon and Uncle Patrick Muldoon, and close family friends Jodi McGann and Jim Katris all survive. John D. Foster of Niles, MI, survives.

Bill spent many years as a talented and dedicated accountant at Biomet Zimmer, where he earned the respect of colleagues and built an exceptional attention to detail. Outside of his professional life, Bill found great joy in the companionship of his beloved dogs, who were a constant and cherished part of his daily life. He had a lifelong love of sports and especially enjoyed spending time on the golf course or playing a game of baseball with family and friends. True to his analytical nature, Bill also delighted in keeping track of statistics for all things Notre Dame, who he followed with great enthusiasm. Bill will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

According to Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place with no formal services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Kosciusko County Humane Society in memory of Bill.
