Tom Lyvers passed away on July 20, 2025, at the age of 72 in his hometown of Mishawaka, Indiana. His battle with Parkinson's Disease showed his courage in facing his life's daily challenges. Despite his pain, Tom stayed strong and witty until the end.
As a child, Tom played for hours with his Matchbox cars dreaming of becoming a race car driver. This dream was fulfilled when he built his black 1985 Chevy Monte Carlo SS and took it around the country drag racing with NHRA.
Tom had a passionate love affair with Moose Tracks ice cream, a good steak and anything chocolate. He is survived by his saintly wife; two daughters, one of whom inherited Tom's quick wit along with his brothers and sisters.
There will be no visitation. A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 220 West Fourth Street, Mishawaka, Indiana. A private burial will take place later in Violett Cemetery, Goshen, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to a charity of your choice.
