Rosalie "Rose" Dennis

Rosalie “Rose” Ann Dennis, 79, unexpectedly passed Monday, January 19, 2026, at Memorial Hospital. She was born in Dowagiac, MI on October 26, 1946, to the late Donald and Mary Joan (Luczyk) Gray.

Surviving are her children, Angela Griffin and Sharon Dennis, both of South Bend, and Steven Dennis of Granger; her siblings, Gloria (Randy) Dennis of Kalamazoo, MI, Dora (Richard) Wojtalik of Shelby Township, MI, and Joseph (Connie) Gray of Dowagiac; and 3 grandchildren, Abigail, Alexis, Matthew, and Jessica Dennis.

A devoted nurse throughout her life, Rose earned her degree from Michigan State University, though she proudly cheered for Notre Dame and remained a loyal fan of the Chicago Bears. She had a deep and abiding love for all of her beloved fur babies over the years, who brought her great joy. Rose also found comfort and happiness in listening to music and took special pleasure in cooking meals that brought her family together.

Cremation has taken place with a private time for family to gather scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to St. Joseph County Humane Society, or the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
