Roberta J. ‘Bobbi” Lippens, age 76 of Mishawaka, went to her heavenly home on October 21, 2023. Bobbi was born November 15, 1946, in South Bend to the late Robert and Mildred (Kruzyinski) Banach. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School and was employed for many years as the manager of University Park Apartments.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Nick Lippens of Mishawaka and her siblings Melissa Mosher of Warsaw and Chris (Patricia) Banach of South Bend. Her sister, Karen Christian preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm Friday, October 27, 2023, at the chapel mausoleum on the grounds of St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Wells and Cruz Family Funeral Home (Formerly Goethals and Wells) has been entrusted with here arrangements.
Bobbi was a pillar of faith, finding comfort in her deep connection with God. Her faith was guided by the teachings and messages she received at the Ironwood United Pentecostal Church and through shows on the DayStar channel, where she found comfort and guidance throughout her spiritual journey. She had a profound love for the people of Israel, a passion that she prayed over daily for peace and donated regularly to the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
In her spare time, Bobbi enjoyed the company of her friends at the Beacon Health Center, where she swam and laughter with others. She also enjoyed playing card games, especially Skip-Bo, creating cherished memories with her loved ones and friends.
Bobbi had a love for landscaping and gardening and raised beautiful honeysuckle bushes and hydrangeas that she lovingly nurtured. She also enjoyed doing Bible word search puzzles in her quiet time.
It was Bobbi's compassionate heart that truly defined her legacy. For over eight years, she selflessly dedicated her time as a caregiver to an elderly woman, offering comfort, companionship, and a loving presence. Bobbi was grateful to God for the company of her Christian friends. She was kind, soft-spoken, gentle and compassionate towards others. Her smile and laughter brought joy to those around her.
Not only was Bobbi a wonderful mother to Nick, but she has always been his best friend and favorite person. All who knew her were blessed. Because of her faith in God, Bobbi lives with her Heavenly Father today, and through our faith in the Lord, we will see her again in the joys of Heaven.
