Rebekah "Becky" Kincaid

Rebekah “Becky” L. Kincaid, 52, of South Bend bravely fought until her passing on Monday, October 19, 2026, with family by her side. She was born on February 4, 1974, in South Bend to the late Robert and Rose (Myers) Kincaid, Jr. Becky later married Jerry Houston on May 7, 2016, in Tarpon Springs, Florida.

Jerry survives along with their children, Drew North of South Bend, Megan (Brie) Houston of Plymouth, and Lindsey (Chad) Stanley of South Bend; two grandchildren Lelynd and Harlynd Stanley, and a sister Erin (Paul) Douglass and nephews Max, Jacob and Sam of Niles also surviving.

Becky spent the last six years serving in the University Relations Department at the University of Notre Dame. Outside of work, she enjoyed keeping her hands busy with crafts and creative projects, visiting garage and estate sales, and more recently, tending to her garden and pumpkin patch at home. Above all, Becky was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, generous heart, and wonderful sense of humor that brought joy to those around her. She and her beautiful smiling face will be deeply missed.

Cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life to take place on October 30th from 6 – 9pm at Danty Maid, 231 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to either, Cashapp - $rebekahkincaid1or Venmo – Rebekah-Kincaid.
