Phyllis Jean White, age 92, of Granger, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2025. Phyllis was born November 30, 1932, to the late Sam and Florence (Williams) Corle. She was a graduate of Washington Clay High School, class of 1950. On January 23, 1954, Phyllis married Donald White in South Bend, Indiana. They celebrated 68 years of marriage prior to his passing in October of 2022. Phyllis and Don enjoyed taking cruises and traveling the world together and set foot on 6 of the 7 continents of the world.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia Becker and Ronald (Janice) White, along with three grandchildren whom she adored and supported wholeheartedly, Kyle White, Samantha White, and Sara White. She was preceded in death by her sister Nancy Holm.
A private service will be held at Wells and Cruz Family Funeral Home with interment to follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger.
Phyllis was employed as a branch manager of Mishawaka Federal Bank for over 20 years. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling the world, spending time with her grandchildren, and collecting ceramic pigs of all shapes and sizes. Phyllis also loved dogs, especially her Boston Terrier “Beamoo.”
