Olin Frank Wenrick, age 85, passed away at his home in Cassopolis on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, with his family by his side. Olin was born March 1, 1941, in Monroe, Michigan, to the late Glenn and Della (Ramean) Wenrick.

As a young man, Olin worked at a golf course in his hometown and earned the inaugural Evans Scholarship, which provided him with a full four-year scholarship to earn his bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan. He later owned Trophy Homes, where he manufactured park model homes for customers from 1987 until 2009. Olin also proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany for several years.

On September 20, 1986, he married Hope Weaver in Edwardsburg, Michigan. Hope and Olin recently celebrated 40 years of love, laughter and friendship.

Hope survives, along with their sons, Ryan Wenrick and Terry Wenrick, and his sister, Erma Peters. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde Wenrick and Orville Wenrick.

Olin enjoyed spending time with his sons and was proud to serve as their soccer coach and mentored many kids throughout his life. He was an avid long-distance runner and loved spending time outdoors on the family farm. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and bred and raised Beagles for hunting. Olin and Hope enjoyed spending time together on the farm, listening to live music, sharing a good glass of Scotch and enjoying a cigar.

Olin will be remembered as a man who enjoyed life, had fun and loved his family. He was a proud husband and father and was often considered a “Dad to everyone.”

A gathering to celebrate Olin’s life will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, October 25, 2026, at American Legion Post 365, 25751 US 12, Edwardsburg, Michigan. Cruz Family Funeral Home, Mishawaka, has been entrusted with his care.
