Linda Chizum

Linda K. Chizum, 75, of Mishawaka, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. She was born in Mishawaka on July 4, 1951, to the late E. Dean and M. Pauline (McDonald) Chizum.

Linda owned a consignment shop for many years before retiring. She loved to travel and spent time living in several different towns and cities throughout the United States over the years. She had a heart for animals of every kind; not just cats and dogs, but birds, horses, ocean wildlife, and even the neighborhood "friends" that would stop by. She simply enjoyed being outside, especially if it meant being near the water or taking a walk.

She is survived by her siblings, Denny (Janis) Chizum of Mishawaka and Terry (Donna) Chizum of Manassas, Virginia; her nephew, Eric (Dedra) Chizum of North Liberty; her beloved dog, Jessie; along with many other extended family members and friends who will all miss her dearly.

Cremation has taken place with a private family gathering to be announced later. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to St. Joseph County Humane Society or World Wildlife Fund.
