Kristofer, firstborn of Alison and Kevin, succumbed to the cancer that had ravaged his body for the past 2 ½ years. He endured the surgeries, chemo, and radiation treatments that marked his journey with a calm acceptance that was truly amazing!
Kristofer loved working at Eddy St. Commons; his work ethic earned him the respect of co-workers and merchants. The friends placed in his path from there provided companionship (Cody - disc golf and skydiving) and a second family and mentoring (Harrison).
Podcasts about sports and watching movies whether alone or with friends or family were favorite ways for Kris to spend his spare time. On good days, his cousin Lacy would take Kris on short road trips or meet for lunch. He also spent a lot of time looking for quirky toys and gifts for nieces Olive and Piper! They were always the hit of an event!
To remember Kris and hold him in their hearts are the following family: sister Katie (Joey), brother Ryne (Lisa), grandmother Mary Jo (Chuck), aunts and uncles (Diane and Joe, Beth, Kara and Todd, Linda, and Jeri and Andrew), many, many cousins, and last but not least, Riot, Kristofer’s 14 year old rescue cat!
Our family would like to thank the staff and doctors at Goshen Center for Cancer Care, Goshen Hospital, and The Center for Hospice Care who were placed in our path during Kris’ journey. Kris was always treated with kindness and dignity as were we. If you feel moved to make a donation in Kristofer’s name, any of these places are worthy. We’d also be remiss if we didn’t thank Kayla, our social worker, who guided us through the massive paperwork that was involved.
Kristofer was a softie under his gruff exterior, generous, and loving. Be happy on your journey,
