Garrett Hall

Garrett Hill, 46, of South Bend, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. He was born in Valparaiso, IN on October 22, 1979, to Thomas and Susan (Sapper) Hill and married Christa Nayder on October 5, 2013.

Christa survives along with their son Bartlett “Barry” Hill and Garrett’s parents and brother, Nicholas (Layn) Hill. Along with his immediate family, he leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and countless friends.

Garrett was the family’s go-to “I.T. guy,” always ready to lend a hand. He was the first person to volunteer to help others and was a person you could always count on. He never shied away from a challenge and never complained about anything. Outside of work, Garrett found joy in the things he loved most: playing hockey, both ice and roller, collecting comics, especially Spider-Man, and gathering with his family and friends for board game nights. He was a diehard fan of the Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks, cheering them on through every season, and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cremation has taken place with a celebration of life to be held at Westville United Methodist Church on October 3rd from 1:00-4:00 CST. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab https://www.sralab.org/.
