Diane Bishop

Diane Bishop, 62, unexpectedly passed at her home in Lafayette, IN on Saturday, September 12, 2026. She was born in South Bend on October 3, 1963, to the late David and Pearl (Howard) Bishop.

Surviving are her children, Anthony J.D.A. Bishop and Ly’Nyia M.R. Bishop, both of South Bend; along with her children, Diane leaves behind her 5 older siblings, Jermette Bishop-Harris, Glen Bishop, Sandra Bishop, Murray Bishop, all South Bend, and David Bishop of Ft. Wayne, IN, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Diane was preceded in death by her parents and a special nephew, Dallas Easton.

Diane was a homemaker who found joy in creating a warm and welcoming place for the people she loved. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to dance, along with her kind, selfless nature made her someone others could always feel comfortable around. Diane had a natural way of connecting with people and bringing a little warmth and laughter wherever she went. When the opportunity came, she loved to travel, and experience new places and people along the way. She will be greatly missed.

Cremation has taken place with no formal services to be announced at this time. The family would also like to extend special thanks to the staff of Glasswater Creek, Lafayette for their care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to American Diabetes Association or Heart Failure Patient Foundation (HFPF).
